We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith Springfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keith, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I feel like being totally involved with the bidding process through the final completion is my key to success. Meeting the customer for the first time personally and being on the job site at the start of the project are very important to the customer.
What should our readers know about your business?
metalbuildings4u was created with the customer in mind hence the 4u in the name. My slogan is I treat folks like I want to be treated. We are a small company, so I personally meet the customer and follow through the build process. We first do the excavation, concrete slab, then erect the metal building by welding all the framework on site. Then the sheet metal is screwed onto the framework. This process takes approximately 2-3 weeks to complete.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would drive them around and show them my small town that I have been a part. I was very involved in my kids growing up. I coached Pee Wee football, basketball and baseball. I was also elected to the Springtown ISD school board 2007-2016. I took and still do have a lot of pride being a Springtown Porcupine. I would drive them around and show them some completed metal buildings jobs and some under construction. Also show some completed barndominiums and some under construction. Even though I am lucky enough to work in around my small town of Springtown, TX our work is limited to a 50 mile radius of Springtown. We have some restaurants in town that are unique, mom and pop style like Shinola’s, Howell’s Cafe, El Cerrito. These are very good food and atmosphere. Being a part of a small town, you are always recognized when you walk in so be prepared to stop and say hi, how is it going?
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife Gina has stood by my side throughout this journey. She has stood me back up after I get down from the stress and long hours. She gives me advice when I have difficult customer or bad weather days.
