We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremy Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeremy, what’s the most important think you’ve done for your children?
I think the most important thing I have done as a parent to impact my children has been to show them the value of determination and dedication. All of my children were born well before I started my business. They have watched us struggle from pay check to pay check and share steaks at the dinner table to now living a very comfortable lifestyle, owning several rental properties and helping others change their lives through real estate. That lesson of starting on the bottom and putting in the hard work to make it up the ladder is now engrained in my 4 children. They know that you can accomplish whatever you put your mind to but it will take hard work and dedication.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is based on one thing…our clients. Every decision we make is designed on how it aligns with our mission statement. Our mission statement is… TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY BY UNDERSTANDING THE NEEDS AND GOALS OF OUR CLIENTS. TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF SERVICE, SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE THROUGH MASTERING EVERY ASPECT OF OUR CRAFT. LEADING OUR CLIENTS WITH LOVING HEARTS, OPEN MINDS & CREATIVE SOLUTIONS. TO BE THE LIGHT! This is our compass. It has not been easy to build a successful and reputable business. There have been many failures and disappointments along the way. We have learned that we can’t win them all and we will ever be perfect but what matters most is that we never stop growing, never stop trying, and always lead with integrity and a loving heart. We take responsibility, are accountable and professional at all times.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Great one! Being in real estate I know a lot of great areas….I think the first night we would go to Oak St in Roanoke to visit the unique dining capitol of Texas. The next day we would spend some time in Downtown Fort Worth watching the cattle drive, eating at Joe T Garcias, walking along the Trinity River and taking some photos at the Fort Worth Water Gardens or the Botanical Gardens. We would definitely take a trip to Dallas and visit the Bishop Arts District and Deep Ellum, Have dinner at Bob’s Chop House in Southlake. Spend a day on the water at Eagle Mountain Lake then head to a local BBQ spot. Of course we would have to head to a shooting range for some well deserved range time! There’s so much to do here!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow…there are so many people to shoutout! First I have to give the credit to God. Without him none of where I am today would be possible. My wife Venessa has had my back 100% and supported me every step of the way. She has believed in me and done everything she can to take care of home so I can go out and create a business that will give the lifestyle we want for our children. My kids have been amazing! They have been very understanding of the late nights and long days, of the missed sporting events and boring weekends. My mentor Joshua Smith and my GSD family have been very instrumental in my continued growth. The friendships I have made from this group are lifelong friendships of others who share my drive, my values and desire to be the best we can in this business. My community has also supported me in a big way! My business is 75% referral based and that would not happen without the community and our past clients. Too many of them to name but they know who they are…Thank you All!! 💜
