We had the good fortune of connecting with Jendayi A. Stafford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jendayi A., do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Philippians 2:3-4 (NKJV) “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interest, but also for the interests of others.”

This is the guiding scripture for Mission Counseling & Consulting, LLC! My company was started because of a personal journey of dealing with chronic disease and mental illness. This scripture reminds me and those we contract to work with us, as well as our clients of our intentions. We are truly in the business of helping others rewrite the story of their holistic whole-body health and wellness.

It is my desire to always offer my clients a more simple way of healing than what I had experienced. It took me several years, a lot of trial and error, heartache, numerous hospitalizations, experimenting with too many medications to count, and countless time and money to get to the status of health that I am in today!

I do my best to always conduct my business keeping this scripture at the forefront of my mind.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the Founder and CEO of Mission Counseling & Consulting, LLC. We offer trademarked programs that help individuals heal from chronic disease naturally.

What sets me apart from other companies is not necessarily the trademarked programs, but the fact that I was my first client and I am still using these techniques that I trademarked to this same day! I take pride in that fact, because when people want to see and hear results, I am always happy to share my personal testimony with them, along with the testimonies of my clients.

I got where I am at in my business, but always being open to learning! I know a lot of information, but I don’t know everything! There are still so many things that I can learn and improve. I am always open to receiving coaching and mentorship from those who God places in my path to be those things for me.

The one thing that I want the world to know about my brand and my story is that they are one in the same. Without my story (my testimony) there would be no brand! I started Mission Counseling & Consulting, LLC because of a passion that came about during a time of personal need. We have a heart for people and want to see them living a life of holistic whole-body wellness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am not from Dallas and have yet to visit, so I am going to have to answer with what I know.

I am still unfamiliar with the part of Central Virginia where I am currently living, so I am going to have to reflect on Oak Harbor, WA (it was home for the last 10 years).

If my friend came out to kick it, I would definitely have to take them to Cafe De Lisio. This is my FAVORITE coffee shop of all time! They have some bangin’ coffee and staff!

We would also have to go to all of my favorite spots to eat like Caribbean Lunchbox, Lotus Tea Bar, Orlando’s, Agave, Sweet Rice, and Fraisers.

Lastly, we would definitely have to go visit my family out there including my spiritual parents, Pastors Randy, and Fannie Dean of Mission Ministry Outreach!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to first thank God for His divine appointment and purpose for my life! I thank my husband Jarrod Stafford and our children, Amaya, Aubrey, and Alden Stafford. They are what keeps me going and pushing in my purpose!

I am thankful for the ministries in which I have served while on this journey of entrepreneurship! Their prayers and words of encouragement have no doubt carried me through on my difficult days. Thank you to my spiritual parents, Pastors Randy and Fannie Dean of Mission Ministry Outreach in Oak Harbor, WA. Thank you to my siblings in Christ, Apostle Michael Mosley, and First Lady Porscha Mosley of Full Life Fellowship Ministries in Buckingham, VA. Thank you to all of the ministerial staff, leadership, and members of both ministries! There are too many to name, but know that I appreciate every single one of you! Thank you also to Bishop Charles Boyles Jr. and Pastor Effie Boyles and their House of Prayer Family in Oak Harbor, WA.

I also want to give a shoutout to my mentor and friend, Dr. Heather Hamilton! Without her encouragement and guidance, I would have quit a long time ago! In April of 2018, she took me as her graduate assistant and co-presenter to the ACA National Convention as she showcased her program, BREAKTHROUGH! My life has never been the same since that day!

Lastly, I want to thank my parents, the late Edwin J. Sydnor, Janice O’Hara, and the late John F. O’Hara. I am because they are/were! I am the product of their sacrifices and I will always love and honor them for that!

Thank you to everyone who has either been on or was a pit stop on this entrepreneurial journey with me since 2018!
