We had the good fortune of connecting with Jarvis Dunn Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jarvis, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
“Chances make champions” and “Take a chance to advance” are two slogans I live by. I feel if you don’t believe in your dreams and persistently go after them through challenges, you aren’t ready for the next level of success. Growing up as a kid I was never afraid to put it “all on the line” for a big return. I learned through trials and tribulations some risks aren’t worth the reward but the knowledge gained from the experience created a bigger reward than I could ever ask for. There is no shortcut to success but the heart of a lion and an impeccable work ethic can provide you with the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

What should our readers know about your business?
I would like to say I’m extremely grateful and humble for the position I am in at the present moment with my business. I think my willingness to succeed and “never take no for an answer” attitude created a platform for me to showcase my talents while helping other maintain a healthy lifestyle. I started out at 7 or 8, every Saturday I would get up early to sell vegetables and fruits with my great uncle to earn my “first bucks” I would work for eight hours or more and receive $30-$40. It taught me the value of a dollar and how to focus on the quality of work you provide then you could expect a big reward versus wanting a pocket full of money with no integrity, values, or morals. It has not been an easy road for Ondarunmobileeatz amidst COVID pandemic but I sustained a formula to maintain a healthy and profitable business with limited resources. I would tell anybody looking to step out on a leap of faith, keep God first, embrace criticism, always look at ways to improve your business, never forget where you came from and the values that evolved you into who you are.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My inspiration comes from my mother, without her hard work and instilling discipline in me I would not be where I am today. I knew the value of dedication, persistence, and punctuality as a result of watching my mother raise two boys alone, finish college, and maintain a full-time nursing job at the same time. She never complained if any obstacles appeared, instead she taught us to always formulate a backup plan to prevent poor performance in clutch situations.
