We had the good fortune of connecting with Ieshea Hollins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ieshea, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Most people view risk as something that is inherently bad but I’ve always known risks are both good and bad and that life is nothing without it!
A bit about myself, my name is Ieshea Hollins, Founder & vCISO of Direnzic Technology Consulting Group, LLC. Direnzic is an issues management consulting firm that specializes in providing solutions to technology issues faced by organizations; issues such as cybersecurity data breaches, disaster planning, mergers & acquisitions, and technology innovation roll outs.
Based on our business model and the services we provide you will see we embrace risk … it is our bread and butter. I mean I am a female technology executive in a male dominated industry; leading a business that I started a business where the business model is built around answering “if this happens then what could happen?”
As a visionary who has been uniquely blessed to see issues long before they’ve manifested, I take pride in my ability to be a trusted advocate for each of our clients no matter the industry. Which is risky business & I am happy to say that I love what I do!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Direnzic Technology is a technology issues management consulting firm that specializes in providing technology solutions for organizations that have reached a technological impasse. An organization would use our services if their systems have been “hacked” or breached, they are in need of a cybersecurity strategic plan, disaster recovery and/or business continuity plan, vulnerability assessment or leadership at the board level by way of a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). We assist clients who are deploying technology initiatives and/or innovations but find themselves in need of project management assistance. We work new construction development deployments that require technology components to be installed, hardware and software improvement recommendations, and network infrastructure overhauls. And we offer
What I feel sets us apart is that we are innovators. Our attention to detail and dedication to issues resolution allows us to apply a forward-thinking approach in an area already clouded by doubt and mistrust. As a female lead organization, we pride ourselves on providing a budget-friendly solution implemented with a personal, caring touch.
How I got to where I am today is by not giving up. No, it has not been easy. I’ve been underestimated, doubted, and dismissed because I’m not the traditional face you expect to see when thinking of “cybersecurity” or even “technology” but I am passionate about what I do and take great pride in providing what may feel like a non-traditional approach for finding a winning solution. I am a natural connector and if that means I connect you to a solution that helps alleviate some of your technology headaches then it’s a win for the both of us.
You see, I’ve learned that persistence pays off and relationship management is paramount! Each client engagement is treated delicately because I never allow myself to forget how hard it was to gain the client’s trust, convincing them to give me a seat at the table; so once I’m through the door and at that table I am committed to proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that my team belongs there. We go above and beyond to address the needs you knew you had and some you
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh what a great question! I myself am new to the DFW area so I’d probably need a little help pulling this together. However, I love promoting and patronizing local, small businesses everywhere I go so I’m sure my first stop would be Blend’s Daiquiri Lounge owned and operated by my dear friends Carlos & Tiashia Underwood. I’d want to fill our days with exploring Dallas landmarks such as the Reunion Tower which overlooks the city. If possible, I’d love to catch a late-night dinner there as I’m told it is an experience everyone should experience at least once. I would encourage them to take in some of the sites such as the aquarium, the museums, and I’d plan a day trip to Klyde Warren park. There are so many options for shopping, but I’d suggest going on Legacy Dr in Plano, taking extra care to stop by the Rustic Cuff and other shops along that strip. In the evenings I’d want to grab dinner at some of the wonderful downtown eateries that my friends Amanda & Tiashia have shared with me such as XOXO, Vidorra’s, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, Nate’s & Tru Kitchen, followed by an evening of comedy at the Addison Improv. Saturday I’d sign us up for the Margarita Mile for some much needed girl’s time, city touring, and delicious drinks.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout out my son, Johann Nelson. He is a talented young man who moved to Dallas and at the young age of 19 became a licensed insurance salesman. He received his licenses in Life & Health as well as Property & Casualty and has been acknowledged as the youngest person at his agency to consistently come in as one of the top agents in sales.
He consistently makes me proud, and I know he will continue doing phenomenal things in the arena of insurance, loan origination, and money mutuals.
