We had the good fortune of connecting with Franco Velázquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Franco, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I made the decision to start my own business I had a lot of uncertainty, but on the other hand I was certain that my business idea was creative, innovative and very necessary for the market segment we are targeting, make the most of my contacts and relationships that I had built in my previous projects. All the time I had the support of my family and close friends.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My company is a House Organ specialized in the design of strategies in the areas of communication, marketing and public relations for the fashion and tourism industry, this 2022 we celebrate 10 years since its opening. Throughout these years, I have developed innovative products and services according to global trends, and above all, positively impacting my hometown (Leon, Mexico).

It has not been an easy road, but with a lot of patience, perseverance and always believing in myself is how I have been able to get ahead, and in the moments in which I have felt that I cannot take it anymore or when I have had a bad professional experience, I learn from it. and I continue forward with the firm intention of always improving.

I firmly believe that with a lot of passion, effort and always with a clear vision of what we want are tools that will help us achieve professional success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My city, León, Mexico, is the World Capital of Leather and Footwear, it is a city of industry and business, but also of tourist sites that make it the “Pearl of the Mexican Bajío”.

My ideal walk is to walk through the Historic Center of the city, starting from the Arco de la Calzada (old entrance to the city) walk along Av. Fco. I. Madero, enjoy a delicious “Caldo de Oso” typical dish of León, fall in love with the spectacular Expiatory Temple, an architectural jewel of the city, enjoy the colors of the sunset, visit the garden of Barrio de San de Dios, one of the 4 most important neighborhoods of León, to end the afternoon eating a delicious “Guacamay ” Another of the typical dishes of the city that consists of a “bolillo” with pork rinds with a pico de gallo sauce, delicious! with a snow of traditional flavor of this neighborhood in the center of León.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my family and friends.
