We had the good fortune of connecting with Eclipse Darkness and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eclipse, how do you define success?
Success to me is being able to wake up every day and live on your own terms. I don’t have to clock in anywhere, I don’t have to answer to anyone but myself and it feels amazing. Being able to inspire a world full of people doing what I love and provide for my family is success to me.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have a very unique story!! I strive to spread positive energy into the universe with my music through a combination of Hip Hop, Afrobeat, Dancehall and R&B. I consider myself one of the most commercial international artists there is to ever exist! I can honestly say I’m most proud of my professionalism, consistency and ability to market myself partnering with other brands such as Sprite.. I’m also proud of my many placements with labels such as Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment. It’s definitely been a journey and has not been easy. It’s taken me years to get to where I am today. I managed to overcome my challenges by staying focused and asking the universe to continue to bless me as I showed a tremendous amount of gratitude each day and still do. Along the way I’ve learned to continue to develop new skills and not wait on anyone to do anything for you. Discipline and commitment has been the key to my success. I often say that those 2 things also contribute to quality relationships as well, which I dive deeper into on my upcoming Album “Love Language”. I want the world to know that leading with love is the only way we should lead. Addressing childhood traumas and learning to love ourselves is where it begins, in order to love others properly. “Oh I Like That”
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would definitely have to hit the bowling alley! That’s my favorite thing to do when I’m not working on music or business and just want to have fun with family and friends. My favorite spot to eat and drink right now is TrueKitchen for sure. I recently had the best experience with Katarina Arriaga (Singer/Songwriter), Corn (Polarhitz & Founder of Exposed TV) and Andrea Brock (Owner of Pink Pamper Spa & Beauty). Thank you Angel for the hospitality. We would also have to stop by Stirr for some good musical vibes while hanging out. I definitely always have a good time with my friends no matter where we go. I’m a fan of Dave&Busters, PinStacks, Addison Improv, Pluckers, AMC theaters and Sidecar. But I challenge anyone to meet me on the bowling lanes anyday lol.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate a shoutout to all of my loyal fans and supporters. I owe it all to each and every one of you for helping me reach new heights. My fans helped make the Sprite partnership happen back in 2019. Hearing how much I inspire you all keeps me going and wanting to create some of my best work yet. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t give a huge shoutout to my bestfriend and girlfriend Katarina Arriaga. She has come into my life and made me really believe in love again and pushes me to be the best man and father I can be. Our energy together is like no other and most importantly we speak the same Love Language!
