We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniella Salazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniella, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
My name is Daniela Salazar. I was born in a small country in Central America called El Salvador in 1984. Both of my wonderful parents, Ricardo and Reina Salazar, brought me up with lots of effort and love.

I come from a very unique background. Since my earliest memories I have always had the image of my mother as a very strong and hardworking woman and I have seen in a tangible way what “empowerment” looks like in her. She had such a strong drive to always impulse my two brothers and me, forward.

She was raised in El Sauce, a small town of La Union, with her 11 siblings, by my grandmother, a strong matriarchy and my grandfather, a very loving and hardworking father.

My roots come from very hardworking strong women, who never give up and I always knew that I could not be less than that. I was born into a more advantaged up grow, since I had greater comforts and opportunities for growth and development, perhaps even greater than both of these amazing women.

My mother taught me many things: That it was fine to not always have all I need, that we all make mistakes but never should I stay in them; that I have no time to listen to depression and anxiety, that I must rise above that and I had to continue fighting for life and carry out my own course in life; that I am the only one responsible for myself.

I have had my own challenges that today I look back on and I can asure to every women reading this that EVERY difficult situation we go through can be the greatest opportunity to resurface ourselves and become better.

I got married very young, and sooner than later, I found myself with my two small children going through a divorce that I felt was going to end with my life. At 26, I was starting over as a single parent.

Due to lots of anxiety and depression, caused by all the pain and trauma I had gone through in my short life, I gained lots of weight and couldn’t control it any more, my self-esteem and self-love went to the ground. And at a time where I hit rock bottom, due to my ex-husband bullying and destroying me with words over my overweight, I began to take strength from my mother’s words and advice and began a reconstruction to work on my self-love, self-worth, and self-esteem.

I started to find myself again and I worked hard to obtain my studies in Theology and my Diploma in Family and Children Counseling, with a specialty in Coaching Women to be Empowered.

I learned and started to teach others how to get something good out of bad situations and I started living, knowing that my life was not ending, it was just beginning. Finally I was able to start feeling, loving, and smiling. And this is exactly what I teach women around the world and inspire them with my testimony, helping them to reencounter themselves and start speaking words of love and kindness.

I am also a Brand Ambassador for many brands, Institutions, and non profits. I love to encourage and help others, specially when they are going through the most difficult times in life: natural disasters, loss, sickness, and so many terrible things that happen in life. We have a huge network of entrepreneurs and people who always help and support social assistance and visits such as orphanages, hospitals, prisons, and others.

I have been able to get to know 22 countries, in which I have shared my Conference “From Slaves to Princess”, creating a few videos on social media that have already reached more than 100k followers

I can definitely say that everything bad that I lived in my past, has made a better version of me. Now I am humble, stronger and totally believe that a woman can achieve EVERYTHING she wants!

My hope is that any woman reading this and is walking through adversity, may find in my testimony of life an inspiration of hope, finds in my words strength, and peace to move forward and know that all will pass.

Today I remarried, I have 4 emotionally healthy children. We have moved forward in the midst of difficulty, and I can conclude that God is everything to me. I owe Him my success today and my success tomorrow. ❤️
