We had the good fortune of connecting with Claire Capek and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Claire, what do you attribute your success to?
I think the most important factor behind my success is never giving up. That includes continuous training, and working hard while continuing to push myself out of my comfort zone physically, emotionally, and mentally. It is important to set a goal and once it’s reached continue to master that goal before setting a new one. In both acting and modeling I think it is so important to not give up because you never know when the right opportunity will present itself. Know you are limitless.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a trained actor and model. I have been training since I was 6 years old at Cathryn Sullivan’s Acting for Film. I have been a Master Student and Student Aide there for the last 6 years as well. Additionally, I have been modeling during that time, and working with loads of photographers to continue to grow my modeling skills, build my portfolio, and network with amazing people. I think what sets me apart is my ambition to be highly skilled in both acting and modeling. I am continuously training, working, growing, and trying to set new goals. It is helpful in my acting and modeling to combine both of those skills. I am really proud of the short films and videos that I have booked as it is so great putting all my training to use. They are definitely not easy careers, but I am also not scared of rejection in the industry as I know it happens to everyone, so I do not let that deter me. You can be the very best actor, however they may just be looking for a different hair color, height, etc., so a lot of rejection can happen based on things outside of your control. Based on that one major lesson I have learned is to not give up. You never know when the perfect opportunity for you is right around the corner. I’d love for people to know that I am prepared for the right opportunity, and I work my butt off to be successful and provide the best product to the clients for which I work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I am 15 years old, and live north of the city, my favorite places to hang with my friends are beaches, lakes, malls, and each other’s houses. I love going to Little Elm Beach, Rockledge Park in Grapevine, the Galleria Mall, and Stonebriar Mall. I love eating at Babe’s in Carrollton, and trying loads of different restaurants in Dallas and lower Greenville.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to send love and shout outs to many people. Including my really supportive family and friends. Additionally, my acting teaching, Cathryn Sullivan, has been like a second mom to me since I started at her studio 8 years ago, and she has taught me everything I know about acting. My agents Dee Ann Vernon and Matt Tucker at the Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas have been by my side also since I started at 6 years old. And all my amazing agents at AEFH in LA have provided lots of opportunities and auditions. I’d also love to thank all the incredible photographers and filmmakers that have given me lots of opportunities as well.
