We had the good fortune of connecting with Charae Tucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charae, what’s the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I have learned is to surrender all my plans to God and stay open to change. There have been countless times when I have attempted to do things my way but God had something better in mind or an easier way to go about it. Being a business owner it’s easy to get stuck on an idea and become one-track minded to where you don’t see better opportunities that may arise or a better way of going about something. Even if you are not a person of faith, it’s important to stay open to change.
What should our readers know about your business?
Two years ago when I was first interviewed for this publication, Styled by Charae was a Personal Styling company that solely focused on fashion and style. Today it is a lifestyle brand, that incorporates Faith, Lifestyle and Fashion. What sets me apart as an entrepreneur is my transparency and ability to connect with people in a genuine way. People what to be inspired and learn but they also want to relate to the person or brand(s) they are supporting and investing in. I’ve been able to grow with the needs of my clients and supporters, while staying true to who I am and maintaining the integrity of the business. I’m most excited about my upcoming book release! I wrote a 30-day devotional aimed at helping people to connect with God in new and exciting way. It is set to release later this year. Patience. That is what got me to where I am today business-wise. We live in a society of viral moments that create overnight celebrities. However, that is only the reality of a small few. To be successful in business, really anything in life, you have to be patient, go with the ebb and flow stay committed to your vision. I want the world to know that Styled by Charae is taking off in a major way! For so long I was in the “fashion box” but there is so much more I have to give to the world. The expansion of my brand is now allowing me to reach more people and share my insight and learned lessons. Ultimately, the goal has always been to serve others in the area of their greatest need. There are a couple of new updates everyone should know about. My 30-day devotional entitled, “Through My Eyes, From His Spirit,” is set to release later this year. I’ll be launching a video series prior to its release on my YouTube channel, Styled by Charae. Go subscribe after reading this :). And for everyone wondering, yes personal wardrobe styling and closet organization services are still available. The C-Suite Style Agency is now the destination spot for all things fashion and style. We still service both women and men.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Let me start by saying the majority of the trip would be food focused! A few of my favorite places are Gator Pit BBQ, Aunt Irene’s Kitchen and Texas Roadhouse. I’m a fan of interactive pop-ups and exhibits so that would definitely be on the agenda and of course shopping! Aside from my secret-gems for boutique shopping, my go-to mall is NorthPark and The Shops at Park Lane. Dallas has a lot to offer so if the weather is nice, we’d rent bikes and explore the best of the city!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people deserve a shoutout! God first for giving me a vision and my parents for always supporting me, and instilling in me at a young age I could achieve anything and no dream was too big. Lastly, my friends who have encouraged, inspired, motivated and held me accountable. Too many to name, but they know who they are!
