We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandie Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandie, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business impacts the community by educating young girls and woman on maintaining trendy modernized hairstyles while having healthy hair.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been a Master Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist for over 15 years. I love to modernize classic looks to make them fun and wearable for the women on the go. Maintaining healthy hair whether it is colored or natural is my goal. I attend numerous continuing education classes each year so I am always knowledgeable of the best and healthiest techniques to use. Now as far as the journey ….it’s been all over the place. And I loved every minute of it. With my cosmetology license I have been able to participate in a lot of different areas within the industry. I’ve done weddings, print work, bridal shoots; and one of my most favorite things was being involved in the television and film industry.
I want the world to know I truly enjoy and have a passion for what I do. I love sharing my knowledge, so that I know young girls and women of all ethnicities feel beautiful about their hair!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly I enjoy listening to good music and cooking at home. I haven’t been in Dallas area long, however if my bestie did come to town, I would probably take her to Legacy West first. I really enjoy that area. It offers so many different places to shop and restaurants to try. And the atmosphere is always fun.
Then we would probably attend a movie at one of the dine in movie theaters. My bestie is a movie connoisseur! Lol.
Now because we are originally from California, we definitely enjoy a good margarita and tacos. So I would definitely take her to Vidorra’s. I love their food and the service is always top notch.
There are a few places I haven’t been to that I would probably take her like….Puttery, Dallas Farmers market and Crush It Sports lounge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
