We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Brock and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrea, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
No thought process at all! Just took a leap of faith after having my second child. I initially started out the business thinking and believing that I wouldn’t be able to maintain all the responsibilities that came along with being a business owner. Once I pushed myself out of my comfort zone I begin to get a new mindset. I have allowed myself to evolve of the past 3 years and I’m excited to see where else this industry and my business will take me.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the Owner of Pink Pamper Spa and Beauty Parlor. I currently offer lash extensions, waxing and facial services. Im also a licensed esthetician instructor at Ogle School & DFW Lash University. Some lessons that I’ve learned along the way are that you have to put your best foot forward and you have to allow yourself to be a sponge and absorb all the knowledge you can in this evolving beauty industry. Never meet a stranger allow yourself to network with every you come in contact with. I have made it this far with the love and support of many strangers. They literally are the ones that give me a chance and I don’t take it for granted. What I would love the world and future business owners to know is that you have to take it day by day. Never allow other success stories to get you down, make them your motivation to continue on each day! With every test you can prevail ,just trust yourself and know that you can do all things.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Uptown Dallas would be our first stop. Lots of diversity, plenty of great eateries and entertainment. Moxies, Trulucks and Capital Grille are my top 3 spots in Uptown. We could enjoy Shake Shack for lunch then hop over to MiniLuxe uptown for a mani and pedi.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my journey to my husband,Cornelious the CEO of Polarhitz Management LLC. He honestly deserves all the recognition. He is my biggest supporter hands down. Along this journey it get tough and some days you want to throw in the towel and call it quits but he will never allow such a thing. I appreciate your unexplainable commitment to myself and my business.
