We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Glasgow and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
With several years of administrative experience, one day I realized that, even in the busiest of settings, I ALWAYS had down time. I thought it would be wise to create a business where I could not only capitalize on my current skillset but also maximize on that downtime by servicing other clients in the gap.

What should our readers know about your business?
Virtual Administrative Solutions is a client focused virtual assistant firm providing cost effective administrative, creative, and technical support to expanding businesses. It is referred to as VAS by many of our clients and friends! Founded in 2013, VAS has evolved in so many ways. From a side hustle with a couple of clients in Louisiana, to a rapidly and steady growing agency that has expanded in services and has touched over 13 states! In addition to virtual assistant services, VAS also offer website design and graphic design through our VASCreative branch. Extending further, I also offer coaching to aspiring and established virtual assistants through our online learning community called “Inside the Safe”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I haven’t lived here long, but I definitely know how to find good food! Eating wise, first stop would be Rebirth of Food in Fort Worth! We’d start the day off right with their vegan soul-food menu! Next up, we would totally ruin our good behavior from Rebirth of Food with some of the best ribs on the planet found at Tenders in Celina! We’d wrap up the evening with authentic Caribbean food at Taste of the Islands in Plano! For drinks, out of alllll the places in the metro, I believe one of my absolute favorite drinks and scenery, (so far. take it easy on me) is at Cheesecake Factory in the Stone Briar Mall. My favorite cocktail is their honey bourbon made with Four Roses Bourbon!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout definitely starts with God! It is because of his favor and guidance that I am able to successfully maintain this business. Next, I’d like to shoutout my family. They are my driving force and are the ones who continue to push me forward to be better and reach higher. I would do a total disservice to my entire brand if I did not shoutout my team members that help me keep this ship running. So thank you to Jelou, Karen, Dami, and any one else who has ever taken on a project and assisted me in any manner! Next are my friends! To my tribe of friends that are scattered across this globe, from places such as Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, and more… you are loved! Thank you to each and every one of you who have played a role in my life and/or my business. You all are appreciated more than words could ever express!
