We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Deltoro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, what is your view on online dating?
Online dating may have been considered taboo once upon a time, but I don’t feel that this is the case any longer. As a wedding planner, I have the opportunity to hear how so many love stories began. Many of those stories start with a swipe to the right, then an amazing first date followed by lots of laughter and great memories, which ultimately leads these love-smitten couples to me. Online dating may not be for everyone, but if you found your match online, you are in good company because some of the most fun and happiest clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with met each other online.
What should our readers know about your business? We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about.
Jessica Deltoro Weddings is all about personal one-on-one connections with our clients. We create timeless weddings that are centered around our couples’ styles and personalities. Weddings are intimate events that our couples will remember for a lifetime; we want them to be confident that the person running the show truly knows what matters most to them. I have dedicated years to growing my company and learning about the events industry and what makes the perfect wedding so perfect. This dedication to improving, growing, and learning is a large contribution to how I have been able to continue to successfully run and grow my business. It isn’t easy, but it is worth it to see the happiness on my couples’ faces when they see that we took a vision that was in their heads and brought it to life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When family or friends come to visit the area in the past, these have been my must-visit locations. You have to start off with a visit to the Dallas World Aquarium. Seeing the beautiful animals and scenery is so much fun, it doesn’t matter what age you are. We would have to stop by Klyde Warren Park to munch at some of the amazing food truck spots. One evening we would visit Reunion Tower to enjoy drinks and dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s rotating restaurant Five Sixty. Another day we would pop by for a photo-op at the Giant Eyeball, then some live music and bar hopping around Deep Ellum in the evening. And what trip is complete without a little shopping at North Park Center, then finally wrapping it up with a relaxing visit to Spa Nordstrom for a massage.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Difficult doesn’t begin to describe the uphill battle of quitting your corporate job to start your own business in a city as large as Dallas. As a wedding planner, connections with reputable event professionals play a vital role in the success of my events and my business. That is why I am so thankful for Society of Wedding Professionals. This fantastic organization has connected me with some of the best event professionals in the industry; the education and support I have received from the members in this group have been invaluable. The first time I attended one of their events, I was still relatively new to the industry, and admittedly a little intimidated, but I was immediately greeted with open arms. This organization is more than a networking group; it has given me the ability to build valuable relationships with like-minded business owners who I may have never met in this big city otherwise. With the help and encouragement I have received from people I have met through this organization, I have continued to improve and grow. I highly recommend this organization for any professional in the event industry looking to up their game.
