We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Badillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the most important factor behind my success is having balance and surrounding myself with positivity. Just like in life there needs to be a balance for everything to run smoothly. It isn’t healthy to just work, work, work. It’s about personal health and well-being and taking time to enjoy the simple things in life. De Luna is all natural steam distilled essential oil products. All products are pure with no synthetic fragrance. I make everything myself from growing and steam distilling the herbs. It’s a long process but I love it and it’s definitely my passion.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
De Luna is my second baby. All my products are pure and I steam distill all the oils. The oils I make have so many helpful benefits in a large range from arthritis to eczema. What I’m most proud of is being able to help people. All the oils are anti-inflammatory. Getting to this point in my life goes back to balance, and learning how to balance life and work, and never giving up when times are difficult or if it seems your goals and dreams aren’t being obtained as quickly as you’d like. I’ve definitely had some struggles along the way but taking a step back and grounding yourself helps tremendously. When I started De Luna I told myself I would do my part from helping others to helping keep beautiful mother Earth safe . All my packaging is eco-friendly and all recyclable . De Luna oils are a natural alternative to help with skin problems to pain management. You will only be getting pure all natural products, never synthetic.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I definitely have some favorite spots . One would be Main Street Cafe in Lewisville . Super sweet place to have lunch or dinner . Highly recommend . Fort Worth I would say Carpenters Cafe . Also very cool place to come eat some good southern comfort food they also have this lavender tea that is amazing !

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My son, Mateo, is my rock and inspiration. The name De Luna was inspired by my son. The name originated from when he was younger and still to this day, he makes me pause life for a moment, throughout the day, but especially at night. He’ll ask me to take him outside and just look at the Moon and actually enjoy it’s beauty and see things differently. No matter how crazy the day gets or what’s on, we like to take a minute and enjoy it. The name De Luna means “from moon”. I would not have been able to accomplish my dreams without help from family and friends especially my mother and father .They both have taught me to never give up on my dreams .
