We had the good fortune of connecting with Meg Seals and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meg, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success and brand is the time and money that I’ve invested in my education along the way.

From coloring & cutting classes to business coaching programs, salon selection, suite design and everything in between; Investing in myself is hands down the reason behind my success thus far.

It’s these investments that helped me to realize my potential as a hair artist while simultaneously giving me the confidence to keep growing both as a person and a hair stylist.

There is no glass ceiling for those who continuously seek education and guidance in life, there is always something more to learn.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think we can all agree that nothing in life comes easy, my career as a hair stylist is no different.

As a new & single mother fresh out of beauty school, I was just beginning to see my life through a new set of eyes. This was no longer about me, it was about providing a safe and dependable life for my daughter.

Truthfully I believe it was my sheer determination to not fail that kept me going at first. With time I began to trust myself and think more positively about the path I was on.

If I could only tell you one lesson I’ve learned in life it would be this; The way you speak to yourself matters. Like Buddha once said, “What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Fort Worth has so many fun things to do and amazing places to eat, it would be tough to decide!

I’d say we would target areas to explore and see where we end up. There is ample shopping near University, nightlife on West 7th and unique dining experiences near Magnolia and South Main.

A quick search during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons are likely result in many options for outdoor flea markets, live shows and festivals. The summer is typically when Magnolia on the Green is happening and there’s a fun art festival that is held in the area in the fall.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Whew boy! Where do I even begin with acknowledging those who have helped me in some form along the way..

There have been many people throughout my career who were able to see my potential before I could see it for myself.

To my managers Lynn and Nikki at Knockouts Haircuts for Men, thank you for believing in me and recognizing my hard work & efforts. You both truly helped me to grow as a person.

For my Panther City Salon crew, I wouldn’t even be here if it weren’t for y’all! Each of you inspired me in some way. Kari, thank you for convincing me to take such a huge leap in my life that would ultimately lead to the success I know today. Taylor, without your guidance I might not have ever opened my own business. Much less had the opportunity to meet and learn from so many incredible human beings.

To Ben & Justin of Novak Hair Studios, thank you for your love & support even through one of the toughest years of my life. When I met you both, I knew I needed more for my business but I wasn’t sure what. With your help I found a way to level up bigger than ever, thank you!

For Tara, my soul sister, you bring so much joy into my life! I simply could not imagine not having your fun loving personality to work next to every day.

Heather, would I even be a hair stylist if you hadn’t suggested it when I was most lost in life? Well, maybe. But you definitely sped the process up! Thank you, sister.

Last and certainly not least, my husband, Cody. The truth of the matter is, I’m here because of your faith in me. Throughout every step of the way your belief in me to succeed never faltered. With your love I find strength to go further and comfort when things don’t necessarily go my way.

So many more have supported me along the way, even those who tried to tear me down but there is strength in community, that much is clear.

Much love to you all!
