We had the good fortune of connecting with Mychi McGraw and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mychi, what’s your definition for success?
Success to me is knowing that a client feels a little more empowered when we leave each other. Their enjoyment of our experience together is paramount and the positive energy created is important to me. When it comes to business, word of mouth reference is the most meaningful. When it comes to my clients, hearing that they enjoyed our experience together makes it all worth while.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always enjoyed drawing and fashion, becoming a makeup artist has been a natural extension of my childhood interests.
I love getting to connect with my clients. There is something special about the connection I get to make with someone as they are approaching a significant moment in their life. Be it a wedding or any other event, there is a brief moment of real connection that fascinates me. I couldn’t say what sets me apart from others, I can say that I truly care about how each of my clients feels after we have met. I appreciate being a part of their day and want them to feel as if they have been left with an encouraging and positive energy.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You’ve got to take them to the Ft. Worth Stockyards to get that Texas feel. Roaming the city and enjoying the many restaurants, museums and shopping is always a great time. Maybe they leave with some cowboys boots. The next stop would be Sundance Square for some nightlife in Ft. Worth. There are plenty of activities, comedy clubs, jazz lounge’s to fill the night and Pete’s Piano bar is not too far from Sundance.
The NEXT STOP, Klyde Warren Park for some lunch and to enjoy the outside weather. I would visit Uptown for dinner and head my way to House of Blues for some music and drinks. We would have to hit The Rustic at some point and there would be a day or two of roaming around the Shops of Legacy for some shopping.

Thank you for posting small unheard of businesses in DFW because it’s difficult to find any reputable business and get to know them in an intimate level. I wish there was a direct contact like telephone number that I can call to book a makeup session directly! Great article and pictures. Mychi seems like a beautiful humble talent that Is refreshing in that industry.
