We had the good fortune of connecting with Audrie Dollins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Audrie, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
One of the biggest misconceptions about entrepreneurship is that successful people never question whether they should keep going. The truth is, every entrepreneur faces moments when they wonder if all the hard work is worth it. I’ve certainly had those moments throughout my journey.

For me, the decision has never come down to whether something is difficult because building a business is inherently difficult. Instead, I ask myself whether the challenge is helping me grow or pulling me further away from the life and goals I’m trying to create. There have been seasons where I’ve had to pivot, restructure services, let go of ideas, or completely rethink a strategy. I don’t view those moments as giving up. I view them as evolving.

What has always kept me moving forward is staying connected to my purpose. I started my business because I wanted more freedom, more ownership over my future, and the opportunity to create something meaningful while building a life that worked for my family. When I reconnect with that purpose, it becomes much easier to push through setbacks and uncertainty.

I’ve also learned that most breakthroughs happen long after the excitement of starting has worn off. If the vision still excites you, the market still needs what you’re offering, and you’re continuing to learn and adapt, that’s usually a sign to keep going. My personal rule is simple: never quit on a bad day. Make decisions from a place of clarity, not exhaustion. Sometimes what feels like giving up is actually a sign that you need rest, a new strategy, or a different approach.

Looking back, many of the opportunities I’m most grateful for came right after seasons when it would have been easy to walk away. That’s taught me that persistence is often less about never failing and more about having the courage to keep moving forward, even when you can’t yet see what’s waiting on the other side.

What should our readers know about your business?
Parlay Collective was built on the belief that great marketing is about so much more than social media. We help creators, brands, and businesses build platforms that are structured for long term growth through strategy, monetization, and execution. What sets us apart is that we don’t chase trends. We focus on building systems that perform, scale, and continue delivering results long after a campaign ends.

Getting here definitely wasn’t easy. Like most entrepreneurs, I’ve navigated uncertainty, pivots, and countless moments where I had to figure things out as I went. Every challenge reinforced the importance of structure, consistency, and surrounding yourself with the right people. Those experiences shaped how we serve our clients today.

What I’m most proud of is the team and the relationships we’ve built. We don’t see ourselves as an outside agency. We become an extension of the brands we work with, helping them build meaningful businesses that last. At the end of the day, I want people to know that behind every successful platform is a thoughtful strategy, a dedicated team, and a commitment to doing the work the right way.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d have to give my shoutout to my family, especially my husband. Their support has been the foundation of everything I’ve built, and becoming a mom gave me the motivation to chase opportunities I never imagined. I’d also recognize my team because no business grows with just one person behind it, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who help bring the vision to life every day.
