We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Pelayo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
While being a Business Owner seems like having all the lights and glamour around you at all times. It’s definitely not that. Having a Business means.
You are the the Marketing team / General manager / Janitor / and finance team / photographer … while still being able to handle clientele.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Coming from California to DFW, not knowing anyone besides my sister. From sleeping on her couch, to making Instagram stories to try and connect with a brand new clientele.
All the way to handing out physical cards and going out. Shaking hands and introducing myself personally to each and everyone that I know now. I know that personal connection I have with everyone has pushed me so much farther ahead. People that I’ve met know my story and know what I come from.
Starting from Zero customers to being booked out 3 months in advance.
I took that same recipe and not only put it towards my barbering.
But also my Djing / Photography.
A.V Engineer fell into my lap by helping a fellow DJ.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would probably start the day off getting some breakfast out at “Our Place” in burleson because there service is top Tier and there pancakes are the fluffiest things I’ve ever tried..

Then we would head down to the stockyards and get my friend a pair of Boots so he can say he visited Texas. With some fresh Leather I mean who wouldn’t feel Brand new.

Right after that we would call my friend up over at Olmos Bbq. To get some of the best Texas Bbq.
You can’t ever go wrong with his food.
IFYKYK.

I would normally probably take a nap after that but since my friend is visiting I gotta take them to the Gran Plaza “ Town Center “

You cannot go wrong with that at all you’ll find everything you need there.. if they think otherwise, then off we go to Traders Village. To end the night I’d take them down to 7th street.

Take them around eat some delicious wings / bar food .. & OFFCOURES end it over at El Chingon the best Wings best Tacos Best drinks and the hypest DJs and the best music Latin / Hip hop / EDM . The next day Dallas would be the next spot but…
Let’s keep it at a day for now.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would Like to dedicate this to My Mom & Dad. My Kids and all the friends that I’ve made along the way.
