Meet Geeti Singhal | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Geeti Singhal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Geeti, why did you pursue a creative career?
From a young age, I was conditioned by societal pressures, education, and my surroundings to believe that success meant achieving top grades, securing prestigious jobs, owning a house, and conforming to societal expectations. Despite obtaining an MBA degree and working in the corporate world for some time, I always felt an inner desire for a different path. During my childhood and teenage years, I participated in art competitions and developed a deep passion for painting, even attending a few classes. As I entered my 30s, I mustered the courage to express my dissatisfaction with the corporate job to my supportive husband. He encouraged me by bringing canvases and assuring me that mistakes were part of the process. His unwavering support and motivation pushed me to embrace my artistic aspirations. With his words of encouragement, I embarked on my journey as an artist, knowing that he would provide further support as I honed my skills. And now my passion is my profession.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As Geetis Art by Heart, based in McKinney, I faced the challenge of finding the right medium and art style that resonated with the people in my city. It took time and exploration to discover the preferences of the local community. Additionally, starting a new business after moving from California to Texas posed its own challenges. However, through my determination and perseverance, I overcame these obstacles and got my business moving forward.
The journey to professional success is rarely easy for anyone. I learned that overcoming challenges often requires adaptability, learning from failures, and staying committed to my passion. Along the way, I gained valuable lessons and insight into the local art scene, which allowed me to adapt my style accordingly. These experiences have contributed to my growth as an artist and business owner.
What sets Geetis Art by Heart apart is my dedication to creating art that truly speaks to the heart. I strive to evoke emotions and connect with my audience through my unique artistic expression. I want the world to know that my brand represents a blend of passion, resilience, and a deep love for art. Along with painting art pieces I also teach students ages 5 years and above how to paint at my Home Studio in McKinney.
What also sets Geetis art by heart apart is that I use my own UNIQUE HANDWRITING styles in my artwork. For example- I write Shlokas from Bhagwat Gita and Ramayana, Verses from Bible etc.which people love a lot as they bring positive vibrations in our houses. Till now , I have done Canvases in 8 different languages. ( although i don’t know how to read and write them except a few ).My Signature style is my Handwriting.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would gladly invite my friends to visit Adriatica Village in McKinney, an enchanting European-style housing community known for its exquisite and distinct architectural designs. The houses there are truly magnificent and offer a unique charm that is hard to find elsewhere. After exploring the village, I would treat my friends to a delightful breakfast at Star Wood Cafe, my personal favorite.
Furthermore, I would take the opportunity to showcase the rich history of Downtown McKinney to my friend. We would wander through the streets, marveling at the unique houses and exploring the artistic shops that are scattered throughout the area. Downtown McKinney holds a significant place in the city’s history, and I would be thrilled to share its fascinating stories and vibrant atmosphere with my friend.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I got this hobby from my mother who also loves painting but never really got the opportunity to pursue this as a career. I would like to give thanks to my Parents who never stopped me from pursuing my passion.
Last but not least, I would like to give thanks my husband who actively supports me throughout my journey. He always motivates me and encourages me to keep going .
