We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrianna Aguirre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrianna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I decided to start my own business because of my kids. I wanted to show my kids they could be successful in whatever they choose to do in their life. Whether that be attending college or becoming an entrepreneur. As a young teen mother, I was already labeled as a statistic and put in a bubble to never even finish high school. And now here I am years later a college graduate and an entrepreneur. I know that I am my kid’s biggest role model, I wanted to give them a chance to see they can be successful in many ways.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart from others would be my personality. My journey was not an easy journey, I have had my highs and lows but have always remained positive throughout it all. I feel that my work ethic and my photos show that. I will always give 100% to what I put my mind to. Hard work, ambition, and persistence have got me to where I am today. Any time I felt like giving up or that I was behind in life, I had to take a step back and remind myself, life is not a race and to be patient. I am proud of where I am now, but I always want to seek more, which is why I decided to go back to school for my Master’s in Public Health. I want the world to know that although you may have your struggles and down days, remain positive and keep grinding.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I did have a friend that was visiting I would absolutely have plenty of places to take them to eat and drink. I feel like being a foodie in Fort Worth is one of my favorite hobbies.
The first place we would go to would have to be SPICE, located near the Magnolia district. This place has hands down the best drunken noodles I have ever eaten & I’m sure my friend would agree.
Pacos on Magnolia is another great place for food & drinks, I would recommend the birria tacos & pepino margarita, this restaurant also turns into a little bar at night, and the music and atmosphere are great.
Sidesaddle Saloon will be another place to check out, this place is located in the Fort Worth Stockyards and have some great expresso martinis.
Cidercade is another place I would take my friend during the week for some arcade games & great cider.
Hopfusion is a brewery that my friends & I already love going to, so this place would be a must on a weekday.
Also, I absolutely love drinking micheladas, one of my favorite places to go for one would be at Michelada Olmos, def would pick up a mix here for Sunday morning!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family & kids are my biggest support system when it comes to my success. They have helped me in every way possible, I couldn’t imagine getting as far as I have without them. My friends are another big support group, I have a HUGE group of friends, who have always hyped me up, given me encouragement when I needed and who are always there to celebrate the smallest accomplishments. I am a firm believer in surrounding yourself with those you can learn from, and that is definitely my group of friends! Lastly, my boyfriend is another big supporter I have cheering in my corner, he encourages me to go after anything I set my mind to and to keep going until I reach my goals.
