We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadine Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea of my business started in 2008 as a budding makeup artist. My sister and I had a conversation about opening a salon. As my career in tech ended, I thought to become licensed as I wanted to do lash extensions and in my state licensing was required.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
BMSL Beauty is a Bespoke esthetics practice focused on helping people feel confident and beautiful. BMSL stands for BROWS, MAKEUP, SKINCARE, LASHES as these are the four focuses of beauty of the practice.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Plano Texas is a great growing area. We’d hang at Pepper Smash for a club/dance scene. Ebb & Flow is a great place to hang with the girls. It’s a little nook with a patio covered in flowers..

Hutchins barbecue is the best barbecue spot, delicious to say the least.

Dallas Arboretum is always a great place to explore.

Captain Bill’s is a great hidden gem as well if you like seafood.

Carrolltons little Korea is an amazing place to shop and dine as well on Trinity Mills and Old Denton Road.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My sister Natasha Harris CEO of YGYL. YGYL is a nonprofit focusing on keeping young girl transitioning young ladies, focused on success and life skills.
