We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiara Noble and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kiara, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks are the single most anxiety inviting options that I come across, however, I believe they can be the diving line between success or a lesson learned. As people, we are often better than we perceive and can do more than we give ourselves capacity and credit for. I’ve taken many risks and they have always gotten me to the next level of my life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets Kiara at Krowned by the Kween apart is the personalized mobile hair services provided in the comfort of each her clients home. They get to relax, snack, avoid child care fees and driving to a building for the same quality of service. I’m most proud of my work ethic to ensure that each experience is unique to the person receiving the services.
Being the third of 5 sisters, I began braiding hair at age 11. By 12, I was taking clients and have gained more skills with each year that passed including working in 3 salons. It has been challenging at times, but I have overcome every obstacle thrown my way. At times, I’ve wanted to give up, but it always came back to it. I’ve learned that I may not be the best stylist, but I am one of one. No one can do me better than me, so I show up ready to do my very best each appointment.
I would like the world to know that Krowned by the Kween is a story of triumph after trials. A testament to never give up on your goals and dreams. Please know that your skills and talents are not only for you, but to help raise someone else up in the process.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I hosted a week of fun for my friend, we would spend day one in my home, eating home cooked meals and catching up. The next day we’d do brunch at Winewood Grill in Grapevine before heading to Grapevine Mills to shop. Days 3 and 4 would be spent exploring the sights in Bishop Arts. Days 5 and 6 would be spent museums in Deep Ellum, and the last day we’d go speakeasy touring!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge honorable shout out to Creator God for making me creative and pushing me to face my fears. I also want to shout out Darlene and Tunesha for being supportive clients turned friends that encouraged me to scale my business.
