We had the good fortune of connecting with Cesar Carlos Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cesar, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I created C & C TURF when I was in my Junior/Senior year in Highschool. I am currently an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Dallas. It was not easy at first, but I have a system in place that helps me balance my work/school/social life. I would say that in the beginning, it was difficult running a business and being a full-time student, the reason being that I would have a certain course schedule and it would at times interfere with meetings with builders, project walk-arounds, etc. One of the biggest improvements in being able to efficiently manage time was to purchase a portable calendar planner – I have specific days dedicated to work, as well as dedicated days for school. I keep those separate, but from time to time I’ll have events overlap but I’m still able to work something around my schedule. Personally, my balance between life and work is manageable for me, there’s enough time in the day for me to complete all the tasks I have scheduled.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When creating C & C TURF, our main priority was to provide homeowners, contractors, and even architects with an enhanced turf experience, while working directly together to find solutions to problem areas. We do residential and commercial projects – we have many different projects under our belt such as backyards, poolsides, dog parks, playgrounds, rooftop decks, and even multi-play fields. In order to provide a premium experience, we offer products of premium quality. All our products are kept in stock, which ensures that our projects are completed in a timely and orderly manner. C & C TURF crew members are qualified, experienced installers that are equipped with the best tools available in the industry. We also have staff members on standby to answer all your questions regarding artificial turf via call, text, or email. And most importantly, we pride ourselves on our dedication to exclusively installing artificial turf.

I am most proud of my team. What others may see as a job; my team sees as a passion. They have spent years perfecting a craft that will last for years to come. Their close attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication, and overall diligence show how dedicated they are to provide the most premium turf experience. Their craft is displayed all over the DFW Metroplex, and I am proud to see C & C TURF’s craft being praised and appreciated everywhere I go.

Being where C & C TURF is today would not have been possible without all the C & C TURF team members. From our crew members to crew chiefs, to office staff, everyone who is a part of the C & C TURF team has helped significantly in the way we have grown over the years. C & C TURF would also not be where it’s at without continuous support from the community. Homeowners and builders across the DFW Metroplex have trusted us to help take their vision and turn it into a reality, and for that – we are forever grateful.

I want the world to know that C & C TURF started out as merely an idea that has developed into a recognized company. What was once our service area was solely Dallas, we have expanded our service areas out to Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and even Oklahoma. Our success can be traced back to the homeowners that support us, as well as all those other individuals who we’ve met along the way that have contributed to the growth of C & C TURF. There are goals that C & C TURF has, and we hope the community continues to support us!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The DFW metroplex is huge, and there are so many things to do! To eat, Id head over to Mexican Sugar over by Legacy, Pluckers over by Greenville Ave, Ten50 BBQ in Richardson. There are some comfy bars down in Lower Greenville and Deep Ellum – The Old Crow, HG Supply, Federales, The Green Room. There are also some bars out on 7th Street in Fort Worth – Pour Decisions, and Ampersand. When visiting the DFW Metroplex, you must visit the Dallas Museum of Arts, Globe Life Field, Dallas Market Center, AT&T Discovery District, The Ft. Worth Stockyards, Grandscape in The Colony. The list goes on and on, the metroplex is filled with many different things to do and see!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes! There are many individuals whom I have met along my journey that have in some way shape or form contributed to the growth of C & C TURF. I’d like to start out by giving a shoutout to all of the homeowners, builders, architects, etc. we have worked with very closely – they are one of the reasons C & C TURF continues to grow.

I’d also like to give a special shoutout to our crew members. It’s thanks to their close attention to detail and dedication that made C & C TURF a leader in the artificial turf/synthetic grass industry. It takes a team to make the dream work!

Finally, and most importantly, I’d like to give a special shoutout to my father, Cesar Carlos Sr. He’s the man that has taught me everything I know, and was his idea to create a company that provides a premium synthetic grass installation experience. It’s because of his initial passion I was introduced to this industry and in turn, created C & C TURF.
