We had the good fortune of connecting with Vianne Jennings and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vianne, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process for starting my business was I saw the need. There are a lot of small to medium size businesses that need help with their accounting and research and development, but can’t afford to hire a full time accountant or don’t really need a full accountant. Nevertheless, they need an accountant or bookkeeper. Sure they could try and hire a Certified Public Accountant but cost would drive them out of business within months of paying a CPA. Several smaller businesses were asking for my assistance with invoicing and/or where they could get information on assisting their business in more revenue. My position with this top Fortune 500 company was coming to an end. Everyone wanted to offer me a job, but I saw an opportunity. The opportunity to work for them all on a contractual bases. Almost all of them agreed and I had my first set of clients.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is unique in the concept of keeping a business in business. Our staple of business is the accounting and bookkeeping, but our Research and Development for our client is the exception. Imagine that an accounting company that will help you find more business. A small construction company learns about federal construction contracts. A hairstylist learns about partnering with a brand company like L’Oréal, Carson Products. We work with our clients to become bigger and better though knowledge and research. The plan was easy, but yeah the Marketing is still a challenge. We still challenge with Marketing, but we keep our opportunity flowing. The main thing we want people know about our company is we are here waiting for you. We are ready to assist you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
By far the Savannah Riverfront is a must see when visiting this area. We have several hotels here that can fit anyone taste of rest. We want to be in the middle of the hustle of tourist, we got the Hyatt Regency, Marriott, Days Inn, Hampton Inn and Family oriented hotels. We even have the serenity of bed and breakfast Inn with or without Ghost. Depending on your taste buds, we can do steak, seafood, Italian, BBQ, abstract or new age. My city has it all, but you are in the south so you must visit the PINK HOUSE, I guarantee you will love it. The food is pure southern, but very well done for any particular palette. Nothing says savannah, unless you take a tour of our lovely city and a variety of tours you can select from. You want to see houses, Haunts or landmarks. We have the history for the viewing. Last by not the least would be a visit to the salty water beach, Atlantic Ocean. We are still a calm beach comber, not much to see accept the water the serenity of the waves. We have preserve the history and the stillness.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The main person, I want to shoutout is my father. He believed in me when I thought I couldn’t make it successful. He showed me that my knowledge of information could surpass any obstacles. He taught me that working in quiet success will bring bigger success. As I work daily to assist my clients in their needs of balancing books and sharing valuable information in their industry. They work even harder by sharing my business with family and friends. Nothing can compare to word of mouth advertising. So a even bigger shoutout to all my clients who really do support me.
