It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day, but it’s important to stop ask: what’s the end goal? Knowing where you are trying to go is step one in getting there and so we’ve asked some folks we admire to tell us their end goal and where they want to be by the end of their careers.

Kelcee Harwood | Professional Photographer

My end goal is to keep creating and to keep my career as something that I don’t deem as a job but something that I continuously enjoy each day and that I am lucky enough to make a living out of it. If it so happens that I get to publish work for Rolling Stone, go on tour with Taylor Swift or even travel the world for National Geographic then that is just icing on the cake. I have aspirations, but my end goal is simple, just to keep pursuing photography. Creating lifelong relationships that have blossomed through my creative talents. Read more>>

There is something special when everything is truly one of a kind. Mark Cooper | Animal Services Division Director

What is my end goal? That is actually a very easy answer. In my profession, I am devoted to animal welfare and giving a voice to the voiceless. In my 18 years of working in shelters, I have had a hand in saving thousands of animals from their abusers, neglect, and from the dangers of the streets. There have been many I could not save, but so many more I was able to help. I have invested my adult life to animal welfare. I have raised three kids to love and respect animals. They also have a love and passion for animals. I have sacrificed many hours helping with a rescue mission when I was supposed to be with my kids at a movie or weekend getaway. My kids came to realize that I could never pass up the opportunity to save an animal in need. It was not always a huge rescue mission they witnessed. Read more>>
