Where do you see yourself at the end of your career?

It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day, but it’s important to stop ask: what’s the end goal? Knowing where you are trying to go is step one in getting there and so we’ve asked some folks we admire to tell us their end goal and where they want to be by the end of their careers.
My end goal is to keep creating and to keep my career as something that I don’t deem as a job but something that I continuously enjoy each day and that I am lucky enough to make a living out of it. If it so happens that I get to publish work for Rolling Stone, go on tour with Taylor Swift or even travel the world for National Geographic then that is just icing on the cake. About a year ago I created a blog called 29thandVibe. The things I talk to my “Vibe Tribe” about is discovering who you really are and creating a life on purpose. The ultimate goal is to create a brand, behind this blog, that will allow people to create the best version of themselves. I want to create a platform that will encompass: Literature on spiritual enlightenment, Alternative & Holistic health services, sound healing services, meditation, yoga and spiritual wellness seminars. The end goal is generational wealth. When it’s all said and done, I would like to have businesses that can be carried on generation after generation. It’s really a bigger picture to this. I don’t mind enduring certain obstacles and figuring out how to navigate through certain struggles, so that the next generation will not have to. Read more>>
My end goal is to have Asta La Luna be a global brand, I want to use my platform to highlight other artisans and curated beautiful luxurious gifts for people. I have always been a thoughtful gift giver and I want to share that with the world and be able to also showcase other artisans instead of buying from a manufacture. There is something special when everything is truly one of a kind. I have been doing it on a smaller scale up until now and my clients love giving me a budget and telling me the story of the gift recipient, and some details to be able to curate something special just for them. What is my end goal? That is actually a very easy answer. In my profession, I am devoted to animal welfare and giving a voice to the voiceless. In my 18 years of working in shelters, I have had a hand in saving thousands of animals from their abusers, neglect, and from the dangers of the streets. There have been many I could not save, but so many more I was able to help. I have invested my adult life to animal welfare. I have raised three kids to love and respect animals. They also have a love and passion for animals. I have sacrificed many hours helping with a rescue mission when I was supposed to be with my kids at a movie or weekend getaway. My kids came to realize that I could never pass up the opportunity to save an animal in need. It was not always a huge rescue mission they witnessed. Read more>>
