We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Dominguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Veronica, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Our company S & V Plant Love has become a great source for people dealing with depression during the pandemic. We have seen more and more people going thru tougher times during this pandemic. Being isolated for longer periods of time during the pandemic has led a lot of people to indoor plant and trees. Taking care of a plant or tree can show a person how to have empathy as they care for them. Just seeing the growth of a new leaf unfurling can also be so gratifying. I myself have dealt with anxiety from the social distancing we have had to do. With each plant or tree we sell we can see each new plant/tree owner come out of their depression and feelings of anxiety. Plants and Trees offer the benefits of purifying your homes air as well so not only are they beautifying the home but adding value to good clean air.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets up apart from the competition is our lower price points, and making these rare trees and plants available at a great cost. S & V Plant Love has a contactless porch pick up policy in place. This has been great during the covid pandemic time. We also offer our clients ongoing care instructions. From one person owning a plant or tree for over a year to clients just making a purchase. We give care instructions from first purchase plant owning steps to later on in owning that same plant or tree for years. They are made aware that clients can talk to us and get advice on repotting, watering issues, soil types, and other topics. We offer courses on plant care for fiddles our main type of tree we sell. Later in the year we will offer more courses in different areas of plant placement in your home. Repotting your plants or trees, lighting types and more.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my husband. Sal started me into the whole plant and tree collecting. My passion stemmed from one baby fiddle he brought home. I absolutely fell in love with that fiddle tree. Now the company has grown and evolved into a company I am proud to own. Our specialty is the fiddle leaf fig trees, we even offer in person or zoom classes on Fiddle Basics and Care. Thank you to this publication for highlighting us in this article. Communities such as Tanglewood, Crestwood, Ridglea, West 7th, Fairmount, South Main and Dallas areas have been so supportive in helping us grow!
