Meet Traci Hawkins | Owner, Nurse Practitioner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Traci Hawkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Traci, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At its core, my business exists to empower people, especially women to feel informed, confident, and in control of their health and well-being. I’ve seen firsthand how often women’s concerns are minimized or dismissed, particularly around hormones, weight, aging, and overall wellness. Creating a space where patients feel heard, educated, and supported has always been my mission.
Beyond individual care, I’m deeply committed to education and mentorship. I train and mentor other clinicians to practice safely, ethically, and with integrity, because raising the standard of care elevates our entire community. When providers are better educated, patients are safer and outcomes improve.
I also believe confidence and health are deeply connected. When someone feels good in their body, whether that’s through optimized health, restored energy, or aesthetic treatments done thoughtfully, it often impacts how they show up in their families, careers, and communities. The ripple effect is real.
My goal isn’t just transformation on the outside, but empowerment from the inside out, helping people live fuller, healthier, more confident lives.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve been an entrepreneur from a young age, building my first business at 23 while simultaneously working as a trauma ICU nurse at Parkland Hospital. Balancing high-acuity clinical work with entrepreneurship taught me discipline, resilience, and how to perform under pressure, skills that have shaped every chapter of my career. I went on to sell that first business by 26 and later continued developing my entrepreneurial skill set through direct sales and leadership. While the industries evolved, my mission never did: helping people feel empowered, confident, and supported.
After my early years in the trauma ICU, I maintained ties to bedside care while expanding my work in entrepreneurship and leadership. About twelve years ago, I transitioned into aesthetics, where I found a more aligned way to combine clinical care with business ownership. Returning to school later in my career to become a nurse practitioner was a deliberate decision to deepen my expertise and expand my scope, allowing me to practice with greater autonomy, intention, and long-term vision.
What sets my business apart is the intersection of clinical excellence, entrepreneurial leadership, and an education-first approach to care. I don’t believe in quick fixes or trend-driven solutions. Everything I build is designed with longevity, integrity, and sustainability in mind, for both patients and providers. I’m most proud of creating a practice rooted in depth, trust, and thoughtful care rather than volume or shortcuts.
The journey wasn’t easy. Balancing entrepreneurship, advanced education, family responsibilities, and the realities of healthcare required resilience and adaptability. The greatest lesson I’ve learned is that growth often comes through pivots, not by abandoning your mission, but by staying anchored to it while evolving.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s intentional, ethical, and purpose-driven. It represents leadership built through experience, care delivered with integrity, and a commitment to empowering others through education and mentorship. I’m excited about continuing to grow in ways that elevate standards and create meaningful, lasting impact.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d want them to experience the city in a way that feels fun, energizing, and relaxed. I love being outside, so patios are a must, places where you can enjoy good food, fresh air, and actually hear each other talk. Dallas does outdoor spaces really well, and that’s one of my favorite parts of living here.
We’d definitely mix in movement and wellness: gym sessions, yoga, and time to reset. One non-negotiable would be a visit to WorldSprings, it’s one of my favorite ways to recharge and something I always love sharing with friends.
For nights out, I’m all about experiences that feel light and fun. I love dancing, karaoke, and live music, especially in settings that feel casual and joyful rather than over-the-top. Give me a great patio, live music playing, and good company, and I’m happy. Those moments don’t have to be late nights, they’re about connection and energy.
Overall, I think the best way to experience this city is through balance: being active, spending time outside, enjoying music and laughter, and leaving room to slow down. That mix of wellness, fun, and real life is what makes it feel like home to me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my patients, many of whom have trusted me with their care for over a decade. Their loyalty and belief in me made everything I’ve built possible, without them, none of this would exist. I’m deeply grateful to my family for the sacrifices they made along the way, and to the mentors who guided me with wisdom, integrity, and encouragement. Paying that forward through mentorship and education is one of the most meaningful parts of my work, and a responsibility I take to heart.
