We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tori, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
One of the most important lessons my career has taught me, (and continues to teach me) is in due time. Everything will happen in due time. As a creative when you try to force or rush things, there is unnecessary pressure you put on yourself. It’s a simple rule that’s very easy to lose sight of. If you find yourself overwhelmed, you may need to remind yourself in due time. Continue to show up, continue to create and continue to make plans, but also remind yourself that everything will come together when it’s the right time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a singer, Tori Martin is described as powerful, moving, exciting, emotional, with a voice that jumps out of the speakers. As a songwriter, she creates an experience that is genuine, and relatable. Her artistry captures what she is feeling, touching her listeners as she dazzles them with her infectious personality and impeccable stage presence.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A hidden gem I’ve found in Fort Worth, TX is Sweetzy’s on Camp Bowie. They have the tastiest Hawaiian Shaved Iced and a gorgeous Dolly Parton mural next to it!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my husband Jason Engelman, he is the CEO of Freaky Fast Home Buyers and Investments based in Fort Worth, TX. Jason is one of the hardest working people I know and has inspired me in the pursuit of my dreams.
