We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Don and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tori Don, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always use to spend $300 or more on clothes every weekend and all my homegirls did something one of my closest friends do hair the other one does lashes nails credit repair and all so I’m like dang i got to contribute some way so I was like man what’s next how can I make myself money so heck I didn’t know how to do hair or makeup so i was like bet let me start me a boutique and get outfits while making money off of it. And I noticed when traveling a lot you never really have time to sit and get your outfits together always work and explore on your mind so I was like i’m going to be the boxy-charm but with outfits. Lol

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Grown And Sexy Dba G.A.S is a boutique store but you are able to subscribe so you get free outfits every week for a monthly subscription so if you get the premium package it comes with 3 outfits out the month plus styled for an event and can upgrade to a Diesel package to add shoes and accessories you can just come pull up and someone will bring your bag to you and we also ship one day soon I hope to open me a warehouse and a showroom. one important lesson I learned is show up everyday just like you go to work mon-fri do the same thing get off and work full time for your business get off social media and only worry about you and your business of course balance your life with friends and family and a little fun but when you own your own business you must show up everyday because if you not consistent people forget about you and you don’t want that also when something happens in your favor it’s god blessing you and when things don’t it’s god protecting you everything not a loss keep going

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I enjoying bowling race cars and shopping might even hit up target I like to try new things to eat all the time so anything I crave that day I look up on tik tok and try new restaurants one of my new favs is yo steakhouse downtown Dallas.
