We had the good fortune of connecting with Tierra Thai and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tierra, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always been someone who saw , heard and felt things different. My ability to creatively express myself and understand art started off at a very early age. I didn’t want to go to arcades, I wanted to visit museums. I was taken to the fair as a kids and the live musicians enticed me more than the rides. This realization of how art and creativity spoke to me lead me to pursue creating just that; magic.

Starting my company came from my love for making craft cocktails and connecting with people on some of the happiest days of their lives. The craftsmanship that comes with cocktails is something that dates back 100s of years ago and is meant to be handled with passion and thinking outside of the box. I take all of the secrets of the trade, mix in some great energy and deliver an experience that surpass my guest expectations each time.

What should our readers know about your business?
Agave Blvd. is a mobile mixology company that specializes in private and corporates events. We services all of the DFW area and we are continuing to expand.

Two of the key factors that sets Agave Blvd. apart is our craft cocktails & bar aesthic. When creating cocktails, we consult with the client and find their favorite flavor profiles/ cocktails. This process is handled delicately due to how much love needs to go into each signature drink. From pairing herbs with spirits to smoking a old fashion with apple wood chips, this part is what truly sets our company apart. When creating the bar’s aesthic, all we need is the theme. That is it. Our team of artists begin to take the client’s vision and we piece it together at the event. We do not just bartend. We create magic where there is none.

As we continue to grow , there are so many lessons I can say I learned. For example, I can’t do it all. Who can!? This is where I decided to open the company up for more brains to come together and solve problems differently and more effectively. I’ve learned that it is okay to know your work’s worth. It’s hard to value ourselves at times but that cannot be the case in business. Your time is valuable, your effort is unmatched. So treat it as such. Not every client will choose you but the ones that do, are the ones meant for you.

I want the world to know that this business , like so many others, was built out of pain & struggle. I want the world to know, this was not easy but necessary. When life threw curve balls, I could have folded and said I give up. Instead, I challenged the pain and used it as motivation to create. To dream. To love. To express that through my craft. I want people to know how you can do this with just a little belief in yourself. Takes just a mustard seed of faith and a little bit of courage.

To know you did not let life struggles defeat or define you is a game-changer. We are all so capable. You just simple have to START.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being a Dallas native and from humble beginnings as a bartender in this city, the places I can recommend are endless! If I wanted to take one of my friends out on the town we would start with having dinner at Musume in downtown. The sushi is out of this world and comes from the best vendors. After dinner, the security will walk us through the kitchen to go to their speakeasy, Akai. These cocktails are created by some of the best craft mixologist out there.

After we have a couple of cocktails, we are going to Round Up saloon to play some pool! This country/modern tavern has a rooftop, pool tables and karaoke. Something for everyone. Then let’ wind down the night with some espresso martinis at none other than Alexandre’s.

In the morning, we will have mimosas by the pool bar at the Frisco Star. Salud !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a Shoutout to :

The Too Fly Foundation
Willow Montessori Academy

These two organizations are non-profit companies that hired our business to represent them and their causes. Through mixology & events, I want to create a platform of change where we work with vendors that serve a cause. We are honored to have worked closely with them.

I also want to Shoutout my team :
