We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Rodrigues and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what do you want people to remember about you?
I hope I will leave a legacy that always brings glory to God in all that I do. I feel so blessed for what I get to do and I know it’s all because of Him. ✝️ I hope my art brings joy, peace, and inspiration to those who look at. I love getting to share my passion with others at my alcohol ink art, acrylic pouring, and resin art workshops. I’ve gotten to meet so many wonderful people and inspire creativity in so many. My hope is to bring love, hope, creativity, and encouragement to all I encounter. This year I hope to find more opportunities to use my art/ classes to support causes and organizations I believe in.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a multi media abstract artist. I create fine art, resin coasters, cheese boards, serving trays, and other pieces of functional art. I love making custom orders for my clients to create the perfect piece of art for their home/ business! Some of my favorite accomplishments I’ve had in my art career would be creating art work for the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers. You can actually see my largest commission at the new Globe Life Field. I’ve recently branched out and have begun hosting sip & shops with other local small businesses at breweries I partner with. I look forward to hosting more Happily Ever Sip & Shops through out the year. My art career began to take off when I started posting my art work on social media my instagrams have a combined total of 80k + followers. This has opened lots of doors for me. I began having pop up sales at West Elms and Pottery Barns. I’ve been invited to various festivals to sell my art and live paint. This led to my business to begin to bloom locally in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Once I grew a local following I decided to start sharing my passion with others and teaching classes. I teach public sip and paints on a regular basis. I also offer private parties, kids parties, corporate events, paint pouring kits, and more! Ive learned to step out in faith and just to go for it. You will make mistakes but there’s no better way to learn then just by diving in head first. I’ve learned so much from my creative business and I look forward to growing my creative business mentorship program to help others cultivate businesses they love and our passionate about! I’d love to hear from you! Connect with me on Instagram @happilyevercrafty_dfw or on Facebook at @taylor_pendleton_art You can also see my event schedule on my Facebook page.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite places are Upperroom Dallas, the zoo, botanical gardens, Shopping, and I love going to breweries with a laid back atmosphere and different games to play. I’m such a child at heart. Some of my favorite restaurants are Chiloso, Olive Garden, and Glorias. Then of course I would have to creative with my company!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shout out would have to go to my sweet mama. She has truly helped me build my business and always believed in me. She’s come to countless classes to help assist me, she’s come to all the festivals/ craft fairs I’ve ever been apart of to help me set up and sell my art work, She’s helped me when my orders were over whelming, and has even helped me with packaging my orders. I feel beyond blessed to have her. She’s my best friend and biggest support system. She’s done this all while running her own real estate business and mentoring me to be apart of her team!
