We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor McCoy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by my mother, whose love and passion for hairstyling shone through in every hairstyle she crafted and the heartfelt smiles of her clients. Like her, I started young, watching her work her magic all day long. Little did I know, my path into the hair industry was already unfolding.
From answering her phone calls and writing down messages to sweeping floors and threading needles, my childhood was immersed in the salon. While other kids played with Barbie dolls, my eyes were fixed on my mother as she moved effortlessly with marcel irons and scissors, leaving her mark.
These early experiences ignited a deep passion within me, one that would shape my future and lead me to follow in her footsteps but with a twist.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from others, besides my passion, is that my approach is 100% faith-based and Holy Spirit influenced.
What exactly does this mean? I pray about everything and include God in every aspect of my work. From acknowledging Him to making it known on the front of my products, God’s word guides me. The inspiration and direction I receive during my devotional time are central to my research and production process. By spending time in prayer and aligning my focus with what God wants, I ensure that my efforts are for His glory.
Helping people who suffer from alopecia is more than just a job for me; it’s a calling. Alopecia presents unique challenges that go beyond simply styling hair. Through my faith and dedication, I aim to make a significant difference in the lives of those affected, providing them with hope and confidence through my carefully crafted products and services.
I’m now located in Fort Worth,TX

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Well I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Jesus Christ My Lord and Savior, the place I truly found God for myself was my church home, The Way Fellowship Church Of Dallas.
My deceased mother, rest her soul Laquita McCoy, my grandmother who also gave me a helping hand in the hair industry and who partially raised me, Velma Terry.
