We had the good fortune of connecting with Streetz of GladiatorMuzick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Streetz, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the art of creativity & its limitless possibilities that it presents & how it allows not only me, but us as individuals the ability to express to the world what we are whole heartedly passionate about. For me, alot of my inspiration comes from an array of different things, which includes: writing, creating, & composing music, filming & visual photography.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of the things I love about creating, writing, & composing music is that its a timeless piece of art that has no boundaries. Im most excited about the other platforms it embodies as well. Not just in music, but in sports, film & movies, Retail, business commercials, & a number of others. I’ve reached my level of professionalism by adding & acquiring new skill sets to my resume. Started out just rapping, but that gave me the incentive to become a writer. From there I started making & producing beats. Once I conquered that I wanted to be able to shoot my own photos & videos so I bought camera & started teaching myself the in & outs of filming & photography. So no its definitely not easy because there’s a lot to juggle. & the way to overcome that challenge is by networking & having a team that can play a part in helping push your ideas & brand forward. So when creating music, I’ve learned that you have to be easy to work with. I think a challenge that has hindered me & my brand along the way is the lack of understanding the marketing & the logistics of the Internet & social media branding. I definitely would want people to understand that, not just with my story but for many others that Ive learned from, is it takes time. You have to constantly make changes on your route or path. You have to be a student of the art & the business.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Places I go for when friends come in town that I would also recommend for eating & drinking is Kitchen & Kocktails, they also do live music on certain nights. Also for eatery I would do Rudy’s Chicken, Zalots Pizza, PappaDeaux’s just to name a few. For drinks & a cool hangout spot, I would definitely stop through & checkout Tacos & Tequila. Dave & Busters, & the SODA Bar. Some exciting things to checkout would be African American Museum, Fort Worth Zoo, Reunion Tower, Six Flags Over Texas. An exciting or interesting person would be someone like Bay Bay, a DJ Personality from K104.5, Erykah Badu, Post Malone, Luca Doncic.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout & shed light on my mother. She is the face behind my story because when I was younger, she would always talk about owning & running on her business. Fashion & designing clothes was what she was passionate about & loved doing, so she eventually ended up establishing & owning her own business, which was a clothing store that included wall art, jewelry & clothing accessories. Seeing & being a part of that as a child was very encouraging, motivating, & life changing in many aspects. She deserves the credit of why I developed a nag for what it is I love to do, & that it is definitely possible in achieving & establishing success as an entrepreneur.
