We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Rivera José Larin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie Rivera, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process was a dream at the beginning something me and my partner could visualize. My partner has 5+ years experience in house painting & iv had small businesses through out my teenage years. We discussed how it would be amazing to own a company & build something that would be ours. With time the idea came to mind to start our own painting company we decided we where going to do it & I started designing our logo within a few weeks of thinking and designing Artística Painting was created.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are most excited about growing our business. We’re thrilled of imagining where our company will be in the next 5 years. We’re proud of how much we’ve accomplished in such little time, our business is flourishing as we speak. It has been very difficult, when no one knows who you are and what you offer people have to take a risk and trust you will do a good job with what they want. At the very beginning of our business we would go door to door knocking offering our services & sometimes we would get doors closed instantly. It was discouraging but it never closed our mind to stop trying, door to door knocking is something we still do no matter how many people told us no or how many people told us to leave it to the professionals to do it we have not given up not once. Along the way we’ve learned we just have to be optimistic and patient when you want to create something great it takes time, effort, patience and so much more. We’re still learning along the way of how to manage our business and how to make it grow even more. This business we have is a dream of ours something so special to us that we will not let fail no matter what happens. We just want the world to know that our business started with a dream a visualization that became a reality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If our best friends where visiting for the week we would take them to a cowboys game, we are big cowboys fan & it’s exciting to know the season will be starting soon. Within that week if possible we would also take them to a rangers game there’s nothing more exciting that the experience of your favorite sports team playing on the field while you watch live! Now we are proud Texans so we would stop by whataburger & then for dinner get Texas road house some of our favorite places to go in Dallas. Now I was born and raised in Dallas Texas but my parents are Honduran & one of our favorite spots to eat is called Mi Comida Hondureña or favorite plate is called pollo con rajadas that’s where we would take or best friend.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to give a shoutout to one another my partner and I have created this idea which we made in to reality thanks to giving encouragement to each other. When one felt like it could not be done the other was there to lend a hand & give a few words of encouragement.
