We had the good fortune of connecting with Sierra Coleman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sierra, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is being resilient. Having the ability to bounce back after every fall, every disappointment and every setback. I would consider myself a very relentless person, whereas I don’t take no for an answer. If someone says I can’t do something, I do double. Having this mindset has helped my brand grow and gain credibility from the fact of the world knowing I started from the bottom.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is my voice. Not necessarily as in singing, but using my voice to uplift others. This is what I do. I build people up spiritually. What sets me apart from others is my authentic approach to life and my ability to keep moving forward even when I get knocked down. I got to where I am today by believing in myself. Having a dream and desire to speak to people about life’s issues has really motivated me because I can relate to just about anyone about anything. Today, my ministry is growing and many people from across the world locate me for encouragement. Was it easy? Absolutely not! In fact, it is one of the harder things to do. Which is overcoming all obstacles no matter where you come from or what your upbringing has been. Some lessons I have learned throughout life was to trust God and not people. This has helped me to stay grounded and not be so disappointed when people could not come through for me. I’d like to world to know that I am just like them in a way, and they can also get back up again, no matter the restraints the world may try to place on them and their abilities.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not much of traveler but I’d definitely take my friends to the grapevine lake, only because it’s very peaceful. We would go to the lake and enjoy the waves while having some seafood in the park. Instead of the typical sandwiches. I enjoy the simple things of life.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t have been able to utilize the gifts that God has given me so frequently if it wasn’t for my church in Tennessee called New Day Ministry. I can proudly say this the support I’ve gotten over the years from this organization has pushed me beyond my limits and stretched me to my maximum potential.
