We had the good fortune of connecting with Shannon Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shannon, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to become an Entrepreneur as well as my own boss. I also desired the ability to spend more quality time with my children (Na’Cole 12 and Harmony 6), while also making the same salary or better than my previous 9-5 career.

What should our readers know about your business?
I love icecream ever since I was a little girl, me and Cookies & Cream go wayyy back! LiqHer is really dream come true. I’ve spent time researching the complexities of this industry and I readily found out it was a hybrid without much of a roadmap. I had to learn the science of alcohol infusion, find the proper machines, file correct paperwork and licenses. Figuring it out A-Z, was not easy as there’s so much room for growth, but the journey has been rewarding thus far! If I could tell the world anything unique about my business it would LIQHER brings the BEST of BOTH worlds. Alcohol and Icecream, book us for your next event or get acquainted with our weekly schedule!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love El Primos (Mansfield) and Red Claw for food. I also enjoy Luxx Hookah Lounge in Grand Prairie.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Mother has been a guiding force throughout my life and business is no different. She’s an asset! As well as my Dad who is very active in my business. 🙂
