We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Perry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Scott, how does your business help the community or world?
Creative on Purpose is founded on the premise that legacy isn’t the money or monuments you leave behind, it’s the difference you’re making right now. Creative on Purpose envisions a world where everyone can develop their potential through fulfilling work done with and for others. Toward this end, Creative on Purpose offers content, coaching, and community that helps people like you discover, develop, and deliver endeavors that make things better.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The community and coaching program at Creative on Purpose thrives because it’s work done with and for people dedicated to making things better through work that matters. Intention and integrity are the guiding principles of all of our endeavors. Nothing we’ve achieved has come easily because making a difference is a fraught enterprise. That’s what makes it worthwhile and has fueled our organization’s sense of fellowship and purpose.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Time spent with friends is most often time spent in conversation. Long walks, chats over coffee or a meal, or exploring nature are my usual escapes with friends and loved ones. The New River Gorge is a favorite go-to location to reconnect with friends and nature.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Don Kelly, my middle and high school Latin teacher changed my life (and maybe saved it) when he loaned me his copy of Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations.
