We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Myles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Savannah, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I’m the most happy in my life when I’m able to have creative freedom of expression and help others at the same time. Society often tries to put us into a boxes and in the past I’ve followed the pathway others mapped out for me. I quickly learned that I was never meant to fit into any box. We’re all unique individuals with different passions and backgrounds, so none of our pathways are going to look the same. It brings me pure joy to help others solve an issue or simply make their day! Any environment that allows me to authentically be myself and have a positive impact on others makes me happy!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Art for me has become the way that I express my moods without having to say a word. I fell in love with makeup and fashion for that very reason alone. I love creating everyday wearable looks but I have the most fun when I think outside the box and just go for it! My avant garde looks are the looks that people tell me inspire them and spark new ideas, because its not something you see everyday. This journey has not been easy, there have been many days where I’ve asked myself “what am I doing?!”. Passion and freedom are what keep me creating even in my lowest times. I can’t imagine my life without art, its the one place I feel comfortable being my authentic self. Content creators often set their creative goals high, however there are times when they don’t always follow through. I found myself putting unnecessary pressure to create more and as a result I quickly burnt out. I’ve learned to be kind to myself and be more realistic with my goals. I want people to know that in life it’s important to be who you are and to love what you do. Life is too short to not be happy with the work you’re contributing to the world! Don’t let society tell you what you should be doing with your life because you’re the one that has to live it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were coming into town this is what our itinerary would look like… Saturday morning we go museum hopping and check out Dallas Contemporary and The Dallas Museum of Art. That night we would grab drinks at Truck Yard which has outside seating, live music, food trucks and is dog friendly! Sunday we would have brunch outdoors at Bread Winners Café & Bakery followed by some shopping at NorthPark Mall and end the day at The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. This would be my perfect best friend weekend in Dallas!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Throughout my journey of becoming a Digital Content Creator the first person that comes to mind is my dear friend Kalish Nesbitt who is a Operations Strategist and owner of KMN Consulting. She has always encouraged me to take leaps of faith and make my dreams a reality. If it weren’t for people like her in my life giving me pep talks along the way, I wouldn’t have taken the necessary steps to continue creating. Shoutout to you Kalish and thank you for everything!
