We had the good fortune of connecting with Samuel Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samuel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
So when I started my own business it was first to create a legacy for myself and being able to help others. I am passionate about hair and serving others. Opening a business has helped me create finical freedom for myself and help others do the same. God has blessed me tremendously at only 29 years old.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I stared hair when I was 20 years old. I graduated from Toni and Guy with my cosmetology license when I was 21. Hair was something that helped me find purpose in myself while being able to help other by bringing them joy and confidence. What I believe sets myself apart from other stylist or barbers is the simple fact that I don’t give up and wont give up. I was homeless and with out a car for many years but i Keene gave up. I tell people all the time, I am not the most talented or most gifted but the simple thing about myself is that I will never give up and I just don’t quit. It’s been a long and stressful journey but as of today I am so thankful to be able to own 2 locations and be able to travel teaching and getting paid for what I love most. My advice to the world is if you love something never give up! And always keep fighting! Do what is necessary to make your goals and dreams become a reality!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots to eat would definitely be Heim BBQ! And coco shrimp! Also I love pizza so I definitely would love to take whoever to my favorite pizza place which is joes. Also the best burgers in town is OC burgers (just my opinion). A rangers game or water park is always a must to as well!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out God/Jesus Christ. Without him none of this would be possible. I am only here and successful because of him. I also want to shout out my family. They have supported me since day one when I use to cut hair out of the garage. Now I own two beautiful shops and I travel teaching SMP (scalp micro pigmentation). Being able to help others and show them how I got here is the greatest accomplishment for myself
