We had the good fortune of connecting with Raida Bankz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raida, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Becoming independent and being my own boss the goal has always been to cut out the middle man building a foundation that would soon turn into generational wealth

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
First, I see my self as a business man as an independent artist with a strong representation in the underground music scene throughout Texas I have worked with many talents, from shows, radio interviews, networks promotion, etc. I capitalize on my brand the most which is Young Texas Muzik (YTM) I have a lot of things invested into the name from clothing, promotions, studio, radio podcasting and currently building a new performance platform for artist to brand themselves

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since I currently reside in Dallas, I would take them to Texas Roadhouse got starters which this is my favorite my place to eat with Steak being one of my entree of choice, Even though I have a music background I don’t indulge in the club scene that much unless it’s a business venture or a performance so my plan would be enjoying study time or working toward my craft to show them how I do things now that I’m entrepreneur I have a lot of exciting things that I’m tied into that’s worth while for instance printing tshirts is a big influence

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shed some light of two legendary artist that have shaped the culture in the Texas music industry Big Tuck & Lucky Luciano I have spent years on the grind investing and building my brand and they both have played a major part in my success
