We had the good fortune of connecting with Qua T (qsroom) and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Qua, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
That’s simple , I’m a thinker. I’m always looking for ways to be creative and outdo what I’ve already executed. When you have something that challenges you to think outside of the box you tend to be open to ideas and get inspired by your own thoughts.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a creative is something that I’ve always been in tune with. I’m always overly thinking but in a good way. I like to challenge myself to do things out of my comfort zone and become someone more greater than just the normal. Everywhere I go, I keep an eye on all that’s taken place, especially if it’s going to benefit me in the long run. The lessons I’ve learned is that if there is something you’ve always wanted to do, just pursue that. Whether it works out or not it will give you an idea of which direction you actually should go. Being isolated and away from my daughter for a year is what gave me the courage to be more comfortable with who I am. Qsroom has became my brand and my podcast name. I look to continue to push that forward and make it a familiar name.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anytime a friend comes to visit or wants some recommendations I often mention brunch. There are places that I normally find myself at numerous times. Such as the biscuit bar, snooze, or oddfellows cafe. I enjoy hanging out in nature, somewhere near water or a bunch of trees. All I ask for daily is peace and that’s what brings me closer to maintaining that… but of course it’s fun to attend the sporting events in the city or a concert of a favorite artist stopping by.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Every chance I get, I thank and appreciate my daughter. She’s the main reason I am who I am today. She keeps me focused and makes me pay attention to detail of myself as a person. She has no clue how much of a difference she’s made on me but she will understand that part when she’s ready and old enough to know. I enjoy being a father and it’s something that I’ll never shy away from no matter what comes with it.
