We had the good fortune of connecting with Porsha Kimble and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Porsha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to be apart of everyone baking experience while in their home.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After being a home baker for more than two decades, I wanted to create a product that would enhance other bakers products. Now to have the opportunity to do that with my elixir flavors, I can proudly say after three years, my business is growing and have expanded my line. The hardest challenges were getting the formulas right. I have learned so much about the science behind bottles, packaging and more. I want the world to know that you can take one idea or experience and make it come to life.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend came into town, I would take them to Town Hearth which is one of my favorite places to eat. Then we would do a little shopping in Bishop Arts, and then have cocktails at The Thompson.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to the baking community for always supporting and embracing my new endeavors.
