We had the good fortune of connecting with Plot$ and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Plot$, why did you pursue a creative career?
The Desire for Ownership. I’ve always had the desire to be more, be more and be the greatest. I didn’t want to punch in a clock forever. So I figured I’d use the regular 9-5 as a stepping stone to accomplish my dreams.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a independent recording artist. So far my single has made it to 979 the beat this year and VH1/ MTV. And my brand is being sold inside of Sneaker Politics Dallas and New Orleans ( 5 Locations Nationwide). To get where i am today i really focused my powers to get rid of all distractions and accomplish what i felt i deserved this early in the music game. Only Lesson that sits with me right now is to work for it. simple.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Deep Ellum is where we hangin out for the night life! Sneaker Politics if you want your swag right! Dallas Art Museum and of course the Fort Worth one too! I love my city there’s so much to just get out and explore!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out Toriq Ahmed (riqosuave88) from Co-sign Kicks and Co-sign Media, this brother is the stamp of sneaker culture/ fashion in the city from partnering with Centre Dallas with the most influential in Dallas among other pop ups before the Coronavirus. He is trying to protect black business with is own banner owners can hang up that brings awareness to many other black businesses.
