We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Saldana and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Morgan, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born in Fort Worth Tx, raised in El Paso Tx. Throughout my child hood I’ve attended 4 elementary’s, 3 middle school’s, & 5 high schools throughout Texas. I come from an unstable, drug ridden, abusive, & poor upbringing. I’ve always known I would be the one to do whatever it took & beyond to ensure I would break the generational trauma & create generational wealth for my children and their children and so on. Pushing limits and beating all odds is everything I’m about even if it means using my last breathe to get there.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I offer cosmetic procedures such as semi permanent makeup. One of my goals are to maintain affordability for women. I come from homeless shelters, living in my vehicle with my children, & being judged most of my “adulthood”. I want my clients to know that at least 1 out of 7 billion people, still cares for the hardworking mothers who simply don’t have the money for expensive luxury treatments that are very much deserved and needed, especially when the walls feel like they’re closing in on you. Without the support of my clients, students, husband & children my business wouldn’t have taken off as much as it has in such a short amount of time. Don’t get me wrong it has taken years for me to get here emotionally, mentally & spiritually, nothing worth having is easy. If you could take anything from my business , it would be “tunnel vision & comfy foot wear is all you need alongside your faith & trust in God.” I enjoy helping women feel beautiful , I love what I do so it never feels like a day of work.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve thought about this for awhile now, I definitely have saved so many restaurants on my Instagram such as Cris & johns, low key poke, fridas tacos, just to name a few. I find much comfort and peace in enjoying a great meal with the ones you love. I haven’t done much exploring myself where I live but honestly a great breeze outside usually does the trick as well as an amazing book to escape into. I mostly just love to laugh until I can hardly breathe and I feel that cramp in my rib, life is so short lately and I would love to spend the rest of my days listening to the streets harmonizing with laughter, strangers and all.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My children are the backbone of my story & success. My children are the reason I get up , eager to take on the world without a doubt. I am huge on faith & not a step of my journey would be possible without the mercy, love, & guidance of God.
