We had the good fortune of connecting with Mitchelani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mitchelani, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk played a big role in my life, I believe if you don’t take the risk you can’t see the reward. I’ve been in situations where I had to risk it all but thankfully for me those risk got me to where I am now.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. Music is powerful. It can make you happy it can make you sad it all depends. For me music was a way to release emotions I have problems talking about. I can’t get in the studio and it’s like the rest of the world stops. All that matters is the moment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we are in the city we are most definitely stopping by Lisa’s chicken and Tres Betos for lunch, probably multiple times that week. If we got the kids with us maybe hit the zoo. Definitely getting hair cuts at TX Barber Cartel best barbershop in the city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to dedicate my success to my cousin Tommy. He lost his life a couple years back. Before I took my craft seriously he would tell me to. I miss him everyday and he’s a big motivator still in my career. Of course I couldn’t forget to credit my team and my family for the endless support.
