Meet Metri Smith | DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Metri Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Metri, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I just wanted to do something out side of your regular 9-5 that I would love doing and enjoy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Mobile DJ. Something that sets me apart from other DJ’s is that I was already a popular guy and people love me genuinely. A lot of DJ’s use djing as a way to become cool. I was already the cool guy so the popularity contest is already won on this side. It’s all about who you know. I got to where I am today buy knowing a lot of people and being great at what I do. Being around the right people can put you in the right positions. It was not easy. Took a lot of hours and practice to get where I am in a year. I definitely learned to never be afraid and timing is everything. I want the world to know that I’m next up. Check ball.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First off I would take them to Stop Smackn Restaurant and Lounge in DC. Good food, good drinks and good vibes. Then we would head over to Cloud Lounge. Lastly we would end the night at Rosebar.
