We had the good fortune of connecting with Melody Yanez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melody, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Regarding life’s risk, for me, I follow my gut. If you believe in yourself and what you are doing you can make it happen. But don’t think it will be without trips and falls before you reach your goals. You have to be cleared-headed and have that support at home to get up and keep moving.

What should our readers know about your business?
Throughout my life, I have had several careers but when I finally found my passion I wasn’t going to work underneath anyone so I opened my doors as soon as my license was in the mail. I started with Microblading and wanted to learn more and decided to go to Esthetic school. The challenge of learning something new was great. That’s when I realized my passion and I wanted to learn everything I possibly could about lashes, lash lift, facial massage, waxing, micro-needling, dermaplaning, and more.

I kept working hard giving it my all. I was networking, listening, and taking advice from those that had the same passion. The one thing I can say about my business that sets me apart is the relationships that form. Getting to know my clients is important. Also, I don’t push anything on them, I don’t force products or services I simply give them recommendations.

Word of mouth has been a great friend, it has kept new clients coming. I’m also on social media to spread the word about who I’m and what I’m about. The lesson I have learned is that who you started with may not be who you make it with.

I plan to coach and mentor my clients that their natural beauty is what we want to strive for. We are gorgeous inside and out and part of my journey with them is to make sure the outside matches the inside. Sometimes we need that immediate anti-aging service I will be more than happy to provide that as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, there are a lot of places in the DFW area that I have enjoyed visiting. When friends get together we usually do bowling, axe throwing and painting with a twist or travel.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout would be to my support team, my cheerleaders my family.
