Meet Megan Sonnamaker | Mom and content creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Sonnamaker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I believe the most important thing I can do for my children aside from showing them how much they are loved is to teach them how to pray. So that always know they can turn to God.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
First and foremost I am a mother! I stay at home with my three kids and raising them to be kind and respectful humans is my main job. I also homeschool them so it’s really a full time gig. On the side I love to share our life online in hopes to inspire and encourage others in their motherhood journey. Before motherhood I was a kindergarten teacher and when my husband and I decided I’d stay home with the kids I just started organically sharing my motherhood journey and it turned into content creation!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love our little downtown. Downtown McKinney has family friendly restaurants, the cutest shops and some great wineries!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband is the reason I decided to start my business online. He saw the creative side and the passions I have for sharing and helping others and encouraged me to start!
